A Normal Distribution assuming what is the nice and good to be. How everyone should be.
Everyone should get the same wage, the same rights, the same food, the same treatment, the same fuck.
I can understand that this approach may sometime came out of unfair inequalities and it was righteous to say that "we will all should be treated the same way" meaning you are no better than others, your life values the same as mine.
But inequality is also a truth to be embraced, that we are not all good at the same skills, we do not all love the same things, we do not all have the same dreams and we are individuals who fancy other individuals. Thus we demand to be treated differently.
And we have the freedom to be treated as we treat others, an other unequal doctrine. How do we know how others want to be treated anyway? But let's not get completely insane here. We can solve this between us as individuals through direct democracy.
Jante law is good only under circumstances. Same as the above mentioned equal ways of treatment of people who never asked us to find a way for them to be treated.
It is the "treat-er" who needs to treat. To control how others treat him-her. Urge to control, comes from the insecurity and fear to be controlled, not being strong enough to deal with the different. The unknown.
So A Normal Distribution so that everyone is satisfied.
I will get both my kids the same clothes, the same pair of shoes, the same school bag so they don't fight. This is exactly how to create a quarrel. But this is not who to blame but how things work. How did this started? Did the parents received a good enough schooling the give their children the same?
Everyone tries to be normal. Look like normal. Act like normal. Or it's normal to act like different. Act like special.
