past life debris
I recently moved to London
I love it here, because there are so many small shops with stuff people don't need anymore, they just give it away.
And I love browsing through them and choosing those who spark a light within me.
Also Charity Shops.
Past life debris.
Things, people do not use anymore, they give it away to charity shops.
So now they have more space in their home, heart and heads. For a good cause. The monetary profit goes to charities and people in need. Double profit!
Someone comes, gets excited with the new finding, and they buy it, and give it a new life, a new spot in the living room, or the bedroom, a new use. A new story. Triple profit!
The object resurrects into a new location. Quadruple profit!
Isn't that the best thing to do? and mend the cycle instead of this linear consumption that always leads to more? and more and more dead ends!
So enough with the promotion here.
What I really wanted to say, was How much I love recreating spaces, moments, and corners with past life debris.
I call it this way, because these were objects, maybe favorite objects, or not so favorite, of peoples previous lives, that now are not longer part of.
So I am excited to encounter these objects and create new settings.
Something like designing new scenery, and moments I can enjoy.
Even if they change from time to time.
I love these metaphors!
And I love the idea, of moving to a new place, where I don't have that much, and I slowly encounter new objects and give form to the new life. Form new habits, until I move again.
I have moved enough and too many times already, so this is something I already know well. Having lived, traveled and enjoyed different cities and places I have allowed myself to change with the environment so many times, adapt and adopt different ways, to realize that I am not attached to external things anymore.
Except from the sun
