The extrovert monks
Monks who live in the world
Becoming a monk does not mean to abandon the world and go in a cave and strictly meditate and eat roots and water once a day or a week and breathe once a while and so on.
It does not mean to abandon your family and your loved ones.
Being a monk means to spiritualise everything in your life and engage it in spiritual practice.
Off course there is renunciation but for material things and desires but you still remain engaged in the world and you work to inspire others.
These monks are in the world.
They cook they clean they chant they pray they write books, they give lectures, they do gardening, they distribute books, they distribute food spiritualised, prasadam.
They sing they chant they offer flowers.
These are joyful monks and nuns.
It's not what you are used to.
They are naturally high and they appreciate relationships.
This path is about relationships.
