How to overcome fruitive mentality

Sacinandana swami mentions in his book "The Living Name"

"Don't be a passionate achiever; instead become a grateful receiver. "

How can i overcome this fruitive attitude that wherever I go I'm thinking what can I get from here.

Even when visiting the temple, i am thinking what I can get from here that we don't have in our temple, in our home, in our country, in our family, in my heart?

Maybe some incense, maybe some clothes, or maybe some books. Although these can be used into service i still find myself just looking around like a hunter, what can I get from here.

They say though that greed for Krishna is a good sign and very much appreciated.

It is a lack mentality that has almost completely taken over. Almost because there is still awareness and there is witnessing and that can be enhanced. Put more attention into awareness and witnessing.

This lack mentality branches out of the belief that I don't have enough that something is missing.

It's a lie.

It can be replaced by a consciousness of service and gratitude.

Everything I need is in my heart already and the Holy Name and all I need to do is to chant and to hear.

You don't know what a gift you are actually receiving when you allow yourself to be transformed and completely taken over by this Krishna consciousness!

You don't understand of what a bargain it is to exchange what is temporary with the eternal.

You only have to taste to be convinced.

This is the goal of this life.

To love and serve Krishna.
